But really, what was yet more disappointing was the fact that "Portal 2", which I expected to suck the big one, actually turned out pretty well! Believe it or not, it is almost as good as the first one. Thing is, those two facts cause a huge impact together. I really wanted Duke Nukem Forever to be good, and yet instead what I expected to suck turned out good! It's not that I WANTED Portal 2 to suck. It's just that it would be less of a slap to the face because I didn't expect it to be good. Seems like we only get good stuff where we want it less.
Oh yeah, the video games are actually metaphors for real life, where we are only lucky in the areas where it's less important to us. It's like life is a troll who wants to go: "What are you complaining about? Portal 2 rocks! You DO have a rocking game!". Yes, but it's not the game I WANTED to rock epically. I wouldn't get that disappointed if it were Portal 2 which sucked.

P.S. In reality Portal 2 was much more important to me than the Duke, but I couldn't find a better couple of games.
